On April 1st the Philly Youth Poetry Movement (PYPM) will host its 10th annual Grand Slam Youth Poetry Finals. Online tickets are available now and highly encouraged (we expect a packed crowd).
12 finalists will compete for six spots to make the 2017 PYPM Slam Team who will represent Philadelphia this summer at the 20th annual Brave New Voices International Youth Poetry Slam Festival in Oakland, CA.
Our youth poets have worked tremendously hard throughout our local youth slam season (Youth Night) that began back in September. It all culminates on April 1st. Come witness the power of youth voices in Philadelphia, get inspired by their stories, and see who makes this year's team!

Tickets: $10 for students and $15 for adults

Brave New Voices brings together youth poetry teams from over 50 cities around the country (and several international communities) who will gather for four days of workshops, slams, showcases, community service, and civic participation events.
